  1. Q – What do we need to qualify for training?

A – Stock at least one full facial range (Pinotage Facial range or High-Performance Range and 2 full body ranges to supply onsite training.

  1. Q – Can we receive training on facials if we only stock body products?

A – We do cover all basic product knowledge for face and body products, however, would dedicate the time to the essential products requirements.  We however do not offer the service to give therapists this skillset nor qualify them to do so

 

  1. Q – Will you train if our staff are community based?

A – Yes, we do offer training for all therapists, however it is required for the team to have some level of experience in doing treatments.  We also assist with skillset assessment and sharpening.  We not only train in product knowledge, we also include training in basic anatomy and physiology, guest consultation and spa etiquette.

 

  1. Q – Do I need to be a certified therapist to buy and use Healing Earth?

A – For personal use there is no requirement and our online team are there to support for personal consultations.  However, should you practice on guests, we do suggest having the skillset to do so already as well as have the needed certification to work on clients.  This as it is important to understand the human body, understand contra-indications, medical concerns and apply the use of aromatherapy oils.

 

  1. Q- Are there manuals that we get in order to stay updated with the latest information?

A – Yes there are manuals that are shared as well as a training presentation. This is done once all logistics are covered.  You can also subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date with our latest news and product launches.

  1. Q – With Healing Earth being a natural product brand, what preservatives are used to maintain shelf life?

A – Healing Earth is 100% natural brand with natural and organic ingredients.  We do no use chemicals in our products such as parabens.  Our natural preservatives used throughout all products are Wheatgerm, Vitamin E and Jojoba

 

  1. Q – What are the products shelf life?

A – All products, unopened, have a shelf life of 2 years from date of production.  Once products are opened and unsealed, shelf life is reduced to 6 months.  Once products are opened, it is essential to ensure good hygiene is followed to keep products in a good state.  Poor hygiene contributes to exposure of external conditions such as heat, light, oxygen and unwanted bacteria.  These elements affect product integrity negatively.

 

  1. Q – Can I mix the cleansers during a facial?

A – Each cleanser is designed to suite a specific skin concern and skin type, however as Healing Earth is natural and ingredients work synergistically, you may combine products, should it be for the benefit of the guest.  Example: should the guest skin appear to be a combination skin type and after a first cleanse using the Gel Cleanser, evidence of dryness or dehydration presents, you may use the cream cleanser for a second cleanse to hydrate and nourish the skin.

 

  1. Q – Can I mix the different serums when performing a facial massage?

A – The serum you choose for the facial massage is vitally important.  Each serum is designed and dedicated to treat specific concerns.  Understanding your guests need and focus for the treatment should guide you to the best possible choice.  It is recommended to choose 1 of the serums to give your facial a functional purpose.

 

  1. Q – What does biodegradable mean?

A – Biodegradable means when something, in this case, our Healing Earth glass bottles, are capable of being decomposed easily in nature without polluting or having any negative impact on the environment and oceans.  With our commitment to being sustainable in all we do; we continue our commitment the environment and reducing our footprint.

 

  1. Q – Can I use the Pinotage facial polish if a guest has a nut allergy?

A – the main ingredients in the Pinotage Facial polish is crushed grapeseed and crushed walnut shell.  Though guests with nut allergies may be weary to use the polish, it is in fact absolutely fine to use the face polish if nut allergies are present.  Nut allergies are due to sensitivity to the oil that is extracted from the nuts.  The shell of the wall nut does not contain any actively oils causing sensitivity or allergic reactions.

 

  1. Q – What is a Dehydrated skin and what are signs of a dehydrated skin?

A – There are many different types of skins to treat during a facial or while doing a personalised retail recommendation.  Identifying the guests skin type and understanding the need, is the first step to making good choices.  Physiologically, our skins naturally product oil or sebum.  Overproduction of oil, known as Oily skin, tends to be identified by larger pores and presence of shine on the skin.  A dry skin is caused by underproduction of oil or sebum.  The skin presents to be flaky, dull and have smaller pores.  A combination skin type may experience characteristics of oil on the forehead, nose and chine, while cheeks presents dryness.  A dehydrated skin is due to a lack of water or moisture from the skin.  Moisture loss happens due to exposure of external environmental elements such as sun, wind, and heat.  This further is contributed by air conditioning, heaters, use of mobile devices, laptops.

 

  1. Q – Why do my client experience a tingling sensation during a facial

A – The skin naturally has a protective barrier known as the Natural Moisturising Factor, also known as NMF.  This is water and moisture that is naturally found in the layers of the skin to protect against environmental damages and free radicals.  When using products or ingredients that are harsh to the skin, it easily strips and loses natural moisture and oils and therefore impacts the skins ability to naturally protect.  With the NMF affected, the skin may experience the active ingredients and essential oils at a higher level.

 

  1. Q – Are the body polishes safe to use while pregnant?

A – We do not recommend the use of Healing Earth body polishes during pregnancy due to the presence of Essential oils and active ingredients.  It is recommended that no body treatments are preformed during the first trimester due to vital foetal development.  Once the first trimester is completed, body massages can be performed from the 13th week onwards.  Pinotage facials are save to perform, even within the first trimester.

 

  1. Q – What is the main ingredient found in all Healing Earth products?

A – As pioneers in Vinotherapy, Healing Earth proudly uses the Pinotage Grapeseed as its main active ingredient.  The powerful anti-oxidant properties of the Pinotage Grapeseed, helps protect the skin from environmental damages and premature signs of ageing.

 

  1. Q – Why do products sometimes change in colour or smell?

A – as Healing Earth is 100% Natural, everything used in our products are produced from all natural oils, balms and clays;  resulting in an aromatic smell and touch experience.  The reason for this changes, may cause small changes in the smell and colour of products from time to time.  This is due to the fact ingredients may be harvested in different seasons and different times of the year.  We do not make use of perfumes to create a sense of smell.
